Lady in the Boys Club

I'm Randi and the mom of three boys (really four if you count my husband). People have often told me they enjoy reading about my children, so this blog was born. I'm not sure how often I will write, nor if it will only be about my kids. There's so much to tell.
I was an English  teacher at the high school level until the birth of my twins. I practiced as  a birth doula for a while as well as a childbirth educator. I then became an ESL teacher and still currently do that.
I am a Christian, a believer in the redeeming power of Jesus. Admittedly, I need to read my Bible more and pray with more fervor. Perhaps, I should stop cursing under my breath (and I can swear like a sailor). However, I do believe that we all have purposes under God that only we can achieve. One of the reasons I am writing this blog is to figure out what it is I am really supposed to do in life. Of course, being a mother is of utmost importance, but what else is there? Why do I feel so empty inside at times? I suspect I'm not the only person who has felt this way in their adult life. This blog will examine some of the important issues women face in life (especially after one becomes a mother) and how to make dreams happen. Also, there will be lots of boy talk. There will be snakes and snails and puppy dog tails. Let's face it...how fun are tea parties really?!
